He received his DDS from the Federal University of Uberlandia\, Brazil. He also completed his postgraduate training in Prosthodontics and master’s degree in Oral Rehabilitation from the same school. In 2008 he finished his PhD in Genomic Sciences and Biotechnology at the Catholic University of Brasília\, Brazil. Dr. Gustavo Mendonça is also a Fellow and a Diplomate of the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Gustavo Mendonça’s research interests focus has been related to the use of CAD/CAM materials and 3D printing for clinical use in dentistry and research applications. He also has worked in vitro and in vivo on the effect of osseointegration of implants and bio-materials. In addition to his research\, Dr. Mendonça is dedicated to teaching and mentoring the next generation of dental professionals. Dr. Mendonça is passionate about providing high-quality\, patient-centered care and ensuring that his students are well-prepared to meet the challenges of the dental profession.

SUMMARY:Digital Dentures – An Efficient and Effective Reality with Wael Garine\, DDS
DESCRIPTION:Course Description\nDigital dentistry has been evolving rapidly over the past few years. However\, removable denture techniques have been slower in the adoption of the digital workflow. In this program\, efficient and simple techniques will be presented to facilitate the incorporation of digital denture workflow in private practice. Different applications and indications will be presented which are also the foundation for implant-retained and implant-supported prostheses.\nUpon completion of this session\, attendees should be able to:\nLearn the possibilities and the benefits of incorporating digital dentures in your practice.\nUnderstand the clinical steps involved in the fabrication of digital dentures \nDr. Garine graduated from Cairo University School of Dentistry in Egypt. Dr. Garine joined the Dental School at the University of Western Ontario\, London Ontario\, where he earned his dental degree.\nGraduating first in his class\, Dr. Garine received the Dr. Gerald Z. Wright Award for excellence. He then joined the Eastman Dental Center at University of Rochester\, in NY where he spent three years specializing in the area of Prosthodontics.\nDr. Garine spent the following year teaching at the University of Rochester and completed the Implant Fellowship\, for which\, he received the Dr. Gerald N. Graser Fellowship Award.\nDr. Garine’s research in implant dentistry has received several awards and was published in the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants.\nDr. Garine is the Director of the Seaside Study Club (local chapter of the Seattle Study Club in Jupiter\, FL)\, a clinical assistant professor at the University of Rochester\, Rochester\, NY and an adjunct clinical assistant professor at the University of Oklahoma.\nHe currently resides in Palm Beach Gardens with his wife Jasmin\, their daughter Sabrina and son Phoenix. They enjoy traveling around the United States and other countries during their time off.
