Course Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n Dr. Dania Tamimi is one of the most exciting new speakers in dentistry. She holds multiple degrees in dentistry, medicine, and oral and maxillofacial radiology. She maintains a private practice in Orlando, FL and lectures both nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n In this course you will learn:<\/p>\n How to read a CBCT<\/p>\n CBCT evaluation for dental implant planning<\/p>\n Understanding the TMJ through imaging<\/p>\n CBCT for orthodontics<\/p>\n Understanding the TMJ, occlusion, and airway through imaging<\/p>\n Radiographic investigation of limited oral opening<\/p>\n CBCT anatomy<\/p>\n CBCT for TAD placement<\/p>\n The effect of the TMJ on craniofacial\/ growth<\/p>\n CBCT imaging for the general dentist<\/p>\n Dr. Dania Tamimi<\/strong> graduated with a dental degree from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She trained at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and earned a doctorate of medical science (DMSc) and certificate of fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in 2005. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (ABOMR) and is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow).<\/p>\n She is a reviewer and an Editorial Board member for Oral Surgery, Oral Pathology, Oral Medicine and Oral Radiology (OOOO), as well as a reviewer for DMFR, Oral Radiology, Head and Neck, Angle Orthodontist, AJO-DO, Cranio and many others in both the medical and dental fields. She is the lead author on two textbooks: “Specialty Imaging: Dental Implants\u201d<\/a> (which has been translated to Portuguese and Russian) and \u201cSpecialty Imaging: Temporomandibular Joint and Sleep-Disordered Breathing\u201d<\/a> and a co-lead author on \u201cDiagnostic Imaging, Oral and Maxillofacial\u201d (translated to Spanish). She lectures nationally and internationally.<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
